Terms of membership
The terms of membership.

In short
- Wasla is for adults who are Moroccan or of Moroccan heritage, with a link to Switzerland.
- Be real, be respectful, and keep what members share inside Wasla.
- Introductions are favours — nobody owes a reply, a referral or a job.
- It’s free during the beta, and you can leave or delete your account at any time.
These terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Othmane_HOUSNI (“Wasla”, “we”). They apply when you create an account or use Wasla. Together with the Community guidelines and the Privacy notice, they describe how membership works. Version 2026-10.
Who can join
You can become a member if all of the following are true:
- You are at least 18 years old.
- You are Moroccan or of Moroccan heritage.
- You study, work or live in Switzerland — or you studied at a Swiss institution.
- You use your real name and keep a single account.
Verification
Every member is verified before they can see others — with a recognized university email, an invitation from a member, a work email reviewed by a moderator, or a manual review. We may ask for more information, and we may decline an application. You can try again or contact us.
Giving false information, borrowing someone else’s email or reselling invitations ends your membership. A member who invites someone vouches for them; invitations that are misused can cost the inviter their ability to invite.
Your account
You sign in with one-time codes sent to your email, so keep that inbox secure. You are responsible for what happens through your account. Tell us at hello@wasla.ch if you think someone else has accessed it.
Using Wasla
Wasla is for professional and community connection. You agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, discriminate against or demean anyone.
- Send spam, unsolicited sales messages, recruiting blasts or chain messages.
- Copy, scrape or export other members’ data, or use it outside Wasla without their consent.
- Impersonate anyone or misrepresent your studies, job or affiliation.
- Post fake or misleading opportunities, or ask candidates for money.
- Try to break, overload or get around Wasla’s security and access rules.
Introductions and contact details
Introductions are requests, not obligations: members can decline or simply not answer. Contact details are shared only when a member accepts and chooses to share them, and only for the purpose of that introduction. Wasla doesn’t guarantee that anyone will reply, refer you, mentor you or hire you.
Opportunities
Members can share jobs, internships and thesis projects. Moderators may review posts before they appear, but Wasla is not the employer and is not a party to any application or contract. Opportunities must be real, must comply with Swiss law and must never charge candidates.
Your content
What you post stays yours. You allow Wasla to store it and show it to members as needed to run the community, for as long as it’s on Wasla. You are responsible for making sure it’s accurate and that you have the right to share it.
Moderation
To keep Wasla safe, we may remove content, limit features, suspend or end a membership — usually after a warning, immediately for serious harm. We explain our decision when we can.
If you disagree with a decision, write to hello@wasla.ch and a different moderator will review it.
The beta
Wasla is free during the beta. Features may change or be removed while we learn what members need, and the service may sometimes be unavailable. If we ever introduce paid features, we will tell you in advance — nothing will be charged without your agreement.
Liability
We work hard to keep Wasla running and safe, but we provide it as it is. To the extent Swiss law allows, we are not liable for slight negligence, for indirect damage, or for what members say or do — including advice, referrals and opportunities shared between members. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Leaving
You can leave Wasla or delete your account at any time from your settings. Leaving hides your profile and you can rejoin later; deleting erases your data as described in the Privacy notice.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a meaningful way, we will tell members by email and ask you to accept the new version before you continue using Wasla.
Applicable law
These terms are governed by Swiss law. The courts at Wasla’s registered seat have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rules that apply to you.
